Anti-Static Foot and Wrist Strap Tester
Anti-Static foot strap and wrist strap tester SL-036 is two testers in one. Ideal for the manufacturing environment.
You can't see when foot or wrist straps fail to perform properly, but you can and should test them regularly. Electronics professionals should test their straps
for proper function at least once per day at the beginning of their work shift. Depending on the quality standards at your company, more frequent testing may be
necessary. This combination anti-static foot strap and wrist strap tester is great for instant testing as part of your quality control program.
Simple operation with dual test circuits, tests both wrist strap and foot strap grounding methods. Auto-ranging automatically
displays the measured resistance range.
Testing anti-static foot straps: The user wearing (heel or toe type) foot straps steps onto the metal base plate and
presses the test switch. LED indicators display the test result. An LED bar graph indicates whether the resistance to ground is too high or too low.
Testing anti-static wrist straps: The user wearing the wrist strap plugs the wrist strap ground cord into the front panel
banana jack and presses the test switch. LED indicators display the test result. An LED bar graph indicates whether the resistance to ground is too high or too low.
Complies with standard 6.1.3.2 in ANSI ESD S20.20.
